Yeah I know what you mean. Zemeckis really likes this style. The only saving grace this time is that the actors that were cast are more interesting to look at than Tom Hanks. There has to be a third way to go that takes the photo-realistic motion captured imagery that Weta Digital have used to such good effect and the impressionistic techniques that Richard Linklater used in Waking Life blends them in someway and adds some honest animation into the mix to produce dynamic digital actors for animation
